The role requires familiarity with biotechnology, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in MS-Office, with responsibilities compliant with FDA's Quality System Regulation and international regulatory standards. Eligible candidates are those currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering or a related field, planning to graduate between August 2024 and July 2025. Teams include Extraocular Devices, Instrumentation, Visualization, and Intraocular Device, focusing on digitalization, application development, and device design. Eligible candidates must be enrolled in a relevant degree program, have a minimum GPA of 2.8, and be authorized to work in the US. The internship spans 10-12 weeks, offering full-time engagement during the summer.

Biomedical Internship at TRIMEDX - DoD SkillBridge Program: This internship offers an immersive learning experience in the field of biomedical engineering, with a focus on clinical, lab, and radiology engineering. Interns gain practical skills by shadowing experienced engineers at TRIMEDX, under close management supervision. Key learning areas include understanding the daily responsibilities of an engineer in a hospital setting, responding to service calls, managing workload, and mastering documentation for repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) work orders. Interns will learn vendor management, equipment calibration, troubleshooting various types of equipment, and execute preventive maintenance procedures. They will also focus on electrical safety and equipment repair techniques. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, inventory validation, and collaborating with skilled technicians in a real-time service environment.
