What to Expect in the 2025 UNT BMES Medical Device
Make-A-Thon
This medical device design competition held from February 7th-9th, 2025 requires students to brainstorm, collaborate, and present their ideas to a panel of industry professionals and engineers in less than 24 hours.
Contestants will utilize 3D Modeling software, receive assistance from technical workshops, and mentorship from experts. The 2025 Make-A-Thon will provide competitors with all the tools necessary to effectively innovate fresh ideas and skillfully present them to industry professionals.

Mission and Goal
The Mission of The UNT Biomedical Engineering Society is to provide a foundation for our members to collaborate, enhance technical skills, and grow professionally. Through hands-on workshops, interactive meetings, and resume building, we plan to provide our members with the base knowledge and experience to succeed in the engineering industry.
Why BMES?
With the rapidly growing biomedical industry, we are able to assist members with internship opportunities, incorporate workshops to learn new skills and sharpen learned skills, create a growing network between current and alumni members that have prior experience, and provide exposure to the workforce from guest speakers and professional panels.
